Family Owned & Operated

Shingle Creek Cattle Co. is a small family owned Black Angus cow-calf operation. We are conveniently located 25 miles north of Rochester & 40 miles south of the Twin Cities in Wanamingo, Minnesota. We provide high quality Black Angus beef at an affordable cost from our farm to your table. By raising our own beef, we are able to control their diets, allowing us to keep our beef hormone and antibiotic free. With a variety of cuts and bundle options available, your family can choose the package that works best for you.

Our Practices

We are involved with our county’s land and soil management program, which allows us to monitor for erosion along with sustainable land use. Over the past 5 years we have seen the benefits of having cattle in our existing pastures with decreased soil erosion by using more vegetation as barriers by creek banks. Through soil sampling our pastures once a year, we know what nutrients are in the soil and what nutrients need to be added to grow the best grazing crop for our cattle to raise the best calves on. We are beef quality assurance certified in cow-calf operations, feedlot operations, and cattle transportation. Having a bachelor’s degree in animal science helps our operation use more sustainable practices allowing us to be more efficient and useful with the land.
