Beef Roast 1 T olive oil 1 t black pepper 1 t salt 2 t dried oregano 1/2 t ground sage 1/2 t dried thyme 1/2 t garlic powder 1 medium onion, sliced 1 1/2 C beef broth 1 T Worcestershire sauce 1 T butter 8 slices provolone cheese 8 hoagie rolls Directions Place onion evenly spaced on the bottom of the slow cooker. Add all dry ingredients together, except thyme. Rub the beef roast with olive oil and rub dry ingredient mix onto the roast. Add the roast to the slow cooker and pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around it. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Remove and slice. Add juice from slow cooker into saucepan and add the thyme. bring to a simmer over medium. Add butter and stir until melted, reduce heat and simmer about 5min. Enjoy Au jus on the side with sandwiches. Share this post
